She received her nursing degree from Pace University and holds an additional certification as a gerontology nurse. A resident of Patterson, New York and an active member of her profession, Kathleen Quinn is President of DELTC (Directors and Educators in Long Term Care), an association of nurse leaders from Rockland, Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam and Bronx counties. Joshua Pollack, Administrator of Sans Souci, states, “We are very pleased to have someone with Kathleen’s experience and professionalism on board. Ms. Intorcia, of Yorktown Heights, brings more than 17 years experience to the facility, with an extensive background in Medicare, Medicaid and private and commercial insurance reimbursement. She has worked at several other nursing facilities in the area including, most recently, Hudson Pointe at Riverdale Center. A graduate of Westchester Community College and currently attending Mercy College, Ms. Intorcia is pursuing a specialty in health service management. The article, “Dining with Dignity”, shares the innovative dining concepts of Sans Souci Food Service Director Howard Rosenberg, in order to prepare food for nursing home residents while enabling the residents to feed themselves more independently. The new and inventive food system utilizes pre-portioned foods, easy-to-open containers, color-coding and other methods of making the residents feel better about themselves.

Bringing more than 12 years of experience as a licensed nursing home administrator, Mr. Pollack will oversee all aspects of the facility. Edilio ran the race in an impressive 4 hours and 19 minutes, placing in the top half of the 39,000 runners in the race. Edilio started running in 2002 and joined the New York Road Runners Club in 2005, thinking that he would like to run the marathon someday. In 2006, he began running smaller night races and half-marathons through the boroughs. The staff and residents of Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center are very proud of his accomplishments and know we will be watching him compete again in the future. YONKERS MAYOR PHIL AMICONE
As a long time Yonkers resident himself, Mayor Amicone visited with the residents of Sans Souci, knowing many of them personally over many years. In addition, the Mayor was presented with thank you letters written by many of the residents of the facility, along with a box of candy and a certificate of appreciation for all his work on behalf of senior citizens. Following the Mayor’s visit, residents commented on how attentive he was, speaking with each resident individually and listening to their stories. He said he would be pleased to come back to visit based on the requests of so many of the facility’s residents. Linda Loffredo, Administrator of Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, comments, “We were so pleased that Mayor Amicone took time out of his busy schedule to sit and have a leisurely breakfast with the residents. Residents really appreciated his time, attention and eagerness to listen. Kathleen Quinn has been appointed Director of Nursing at Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Yonkers. 
Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a highly regarded skilled nursing and short term rehabilitation facility in Yonkers, has named Louise Intorcia as their new Director of Admissions.
Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 120-bed short term rehabilitation, subacute and long term care facility in Yonkers, NY, was recently featured as a “Trendsetter” in FoodService Director Magazine, a national publication for the food service industry featuring healthcare facilities.

Congratulations to our own Edilio Flores, Occupational Therapist at Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center since July 2007, who recently ran in the New York City Marathon on his 49th birthday.
